I'll do a more detailed post with lots of photos soon, but couldn't let today pass without even a short update. To our great joy, we spent the weekend celebrating 8 wonderful years with Noah. His Minecraft party yesterday was a complete success. He had a simply wonderful time with his friends and siblings and they had a wonderful time with him. It honestly couldn't have gone any better!!
Today he woke up happy and ready to go to church and be baptized. He hasn't been in church much in the last few months and it was a delight to hear him singing and see him raising his hand in worship. He did beautifully during his baptism and was tickled when the church sang happy birthday to him. The elders also came up front and had a precious time of prayer for him.
We had some friends and family back to the house after church for leftover birthday cake and Jeff's famous pulled pork, so the fun continued until he fell asleep this afternoon. All in all he had a wonderful weekend spent doing his favorite things surrounded by those he loves. We couldn't possibly have asked for more.
He is very pale and he's bleeding from his central line again, so please pray for clear direction this week. The bleeding was just barely within acceptable limits this weekend but we can't let it continue like this without doing something. No matter what the next week or two brings, there is great peace in knowing that he got through this weekend so very very well.
Thank you all for your prayers and thank you to everyone who sent him a card. He's really enjoyed them and I know he'll love getting them into next week as well!!
Blessings,
Kate
