Urgent prayer needed

I am incredibly behind but need to try to catch up here quickly.

Noah h it sick last week with very high fevers.  Saturday he had uncontrollable bleeding from around his g-tube.  We went to the local ER for plasma.  His blood counts were extremely low and while we were in the ER his earlier labs came back showing that he and infections in his bladder and bloodstream.  He was sent to Greenville Children's by ambulance.

They controlled the bleeding with a couple of bags of plasma and some blood, and got him on an appropriate antibiotic.  We've been dealing with low potassium and got his supra pubic catheter changed yesterday but  everything seemed to be in good shape today so we planned to go home.

The nurse just needed to check one more potassium level and found that all three lumens of Noah's central line stopped drawing back blood, so he was given the standard treatment.  Activase, a clot-buster, was put into 2 of the lumens and allowed to sit for a couple of hours while the third lumen was left available for meds and TPN.

When the nurse went to draw the Activase out, it would not draw out of either lumen.  It can't be pushed in because it is a clot-buster.  This means only one lumen is useable.

We are most certainly not going home and it is highly likely we'll be transferred to Columbia and that his line will be replaced.

We are all heart sick and Noah is completely devastated.

Please pray for wisdom and a clear, reasonable plan.  If they are going to transfer him, I'm going to push for waiting until morning - there is no sense in putting him through another sleepless night.

Will update here as I can.

Blessings,
Kate
