Oh my, what a week we've had! We had days of heavy snow and ice serious enough cause a "civil emergency. " We'd been told to expect sustained power outages that would have required evacuating Noah to our local hospital, but by the grace of God the power stayed on through it all. There is still a good bit of snow on the ground and of course the children thought it was all great fun.
The roads were just becoming passable (not many plows in SC !) on Valentine's Day and that night we had an earthquake! We have over a dozen every year and in fact had one today, but the usually can't be felt. The one Friday shook furniture and was a little scary. We live just a few miles from the epicenter and apparently this was felt in other states. Again we suffered no damage. God is good.
I have to say I'm quite ready for a balmy, flower- studded Carolina spring to arrive. :-) I'm very much a warm weather girl!
All of that snow wreaked havoc on our medical schedules. We had to cancel appointments two weeks ago during THAT snowstorm and some were rescheduled for. . . you guessed it. . . THIS week. Poor Mary Faith still hasn't gotten in for her final ortho visit as it was one of this week's cancellations.
God's hand is so evident in the schedule mayhem. Noah was due for a supra pubic change last week but we couldn't fit it in with the other appointments we'd scheduled so they are doing it tomorrow. If we'd been able to schedule it last week, it would have been cancelled and there's no telling how long it would have taken to reschedule! Noah's urine looks pretty bad today as does his supra pubic site, so we're glad to have our wonderful urologist lay eyes on him tomorrow.
Noah is going to the O.R. at 1 PM. I'll update FB when he's out.
Please pray for safety for Noah tomorrow- we never take anesthesia lightly. Also please pray that his urine will clear right up! I wouldn't say no to prayers for spring while you're at it LOL.
