Just three things tonight:
1. Noah's supra-pubic catheter change went well. Except that we got stuck in pre-op for an extra 5 hours because of an unforseen (but safely resolved) issue with a different patient. These rooms are about as big as a postal stamp and it's possible the wait aged me 73 years. Worth it though to have it all over and done with. The one really bright spot is that Noah finally fell asleep about 10 minutes before they took him back so there was no "I'm scared of the O.R." trauma!!!
2. I am feeling really yucky and would appreciate prayers. I don't know if it's bronchitis or what, but I've given up on it just getting better on it's own and will be going to the doctor tomorrow. All I can do is cough and sleep and cough and wish I could sleep. Hannah is coughing too so I will probably bring her to the doc unless she perks up. Even more than prayers for me, please pray that Noah doesn't get it.
3. Since I didn't win the Dare to Hope Foundation Blog Contest a couple of weeks ago, I qualified to submit a new entry. I used a blog post I was about to post here but hadn't posted yet. You can vote for my entry by clicking this link and "liking" it. Just as important, the key is for you to then share the link, tell your friends what's up and ask your them to *click and like.* If you just share, it's not likely they will understand that you want action from them. :-)
If my entry wins, Noah will get a $100 Amazon gift card. I'd love to be able to get him some special things he's been eying!
4. (Bonus piece of info) I will try to remember to post the contest post here on the blog after the contest ends so those of you without Facebook can read it.
Blessings,
Kate
