Want to send mail to Noah?
We regularly get requests for a mailing address for Noah and/or for ideas of things he would like. Like most children, Noah loves to get mail, but we aren't putting this info here in an attempt to solicit mail or goodies for him. If you want the info, it's here - if you don't feel led to send mail, then by all means don't worry about it! :-)

I'm never sure what to do when people ask for a list of things Noah would like. On one hand, I know they wouldn't be asking if they didn't want to know. On the other hand, it honestly feels strange to send out a list like that. Sometimes I don't get a chance to reply and then I feel awful for not getting back to that person. Jeff and I talked about it and finally decided the easiest thing to do would be to create an Amazon wish list for him. It is NOT our intention or even our desire that Noah get all of the things on this list, nor is it our intention to say he doesn't want anything other than what we listed!! We just thought it might make things easier for all involved - if someone wanted to send him something off the list it would be easy for them to do so. It's also a good tool if you are just interested in seeing the kinds of things he likes. He is not aware that the list even exists. We enlisted the help of his siblings to go through and choose things we know he would enjoy.
To see the list, just click the "Wish Lists" button on Amazon.com. There is a field where you can search for wish lists. Enter my name, Kate Estes. Right now there are 2 results that come up for Kate Estes, but mine is the only one with Noah's name next to it. Click Noah Estes by my name and you can see the list.
We also made a second wish list at www.toysrus.com after going there recently and seeing a lot of things Noah would enjoy but that are not offered at Amazon. To see that list, just go to www.toysrus.com and click the Wish List button. You can search by creator (Me, Kate Estes, Greenwood SC) or recipient (Noah Estes, Greenwood SC) to see the list.
You may notice that there are no active or outside toys on the lists. Noah's ability to use these sorts of things is diminishing, so please don't send things that are geared towards really active physical play. Most of his play time is spent playing quietly on the floor or at a table, and our choices reflect that.
We also don't have many books on the list. Noah LOVES books and we read to him every day. Because we've made a point of buying lots of books through the years, he has inherited a pretty big library of picture books. I spent a long time plowing through the massive selection of books at Amazon and just had a hard time choosing them without seeing them, so I decided just not to list many. The lack of books on the list doesn't mean he doesn't like them. It just means that I was overwhelmed trying to pick some!
