Tuesday night update:

Kate and Noah are in Greenville!  Kate is thrilled to be back where Noah is so well known (despite appreciating how wonderful the medical staff in W-S were to them).  Two homeschooling families in W-S helped Kate and Noah pack up the hospital room and are shipping the things Kate couldn't take with her by ambulance.  Noah got 52 courage beads before leaving today!

Right now, Noah is in a regular room in Greenville with his regular nurses.  However, Greenville's regulations prohibit Noah from receiving IV fentanyl while there.  Kate has been very happy at the level of pain relief Noah has received from this medicine and with Noah's willingness to ask for it when he is in pain.  So she doesn't like the fact that he may not be able to continue receiving it.  She asks us to pray for wisdom and discernment as to which she should choose...
#1 - a room on the regular floor with nurses who love Noah and are very familiar with Noah's care using morphine and benadryl for adequate pain relief but snowing Noah to the point where he cannot play (which Noah doesn't like).    Also, the floor has lots of room for Noah to play and it is much easier for him to have visitors there.
                                   or
#2 - moving to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with new staff that do not know Noah, more restrictions on play and visitors, and better pain relief with less sedation.

Noah's condition is about the same.  His urine still has a lot of sediment for an unknown reason.  His hemoglobin is 11.1 so he almost needs a transfusion.  Noah has informed Kate that he does not have a double lumen broviac, he has a two-headed sea serpent line.  One of the heads is red (Noah's favorite color) and he is sure it was placed there specifically for his enjoyment.  Isn't God wonderful to care about Noah's favorite color?  The line is working well and healing well.
