Hello again!

Michelle Floyd posting an update for Kate again.

I spoke with Kate around 5pm today and the doctors have found the cause of Noah's acute illness - a urinary tract infection.  He is going to need 10 days of IV antibiotics, but he is doing better today. His temperatures are still up and down.  As you can see from his picture on facebook, Noah was awake and smiling some today.

Kate has asked prayer for the following:  The doctors in W-S are very comfortable with and used to putting in dual-lumen broviac lines.  They do at least one a day.  They are willing to consider putting one in for Noah once his acute infection is resolved.  As you probably remember, this would greatly assist Kate and Jeff  in being able to more easily administer Noah's IV meds without stopping his TPN.  However, the docs there want to discuss this with Noah's doctors in SC.  Kate asked that we pray for the right decision for Noah to be made by all the doctors.

Also pray for clarity regarding when to transfer Noah back closer to home.  It is inconvenient for Kate to be so far from home, family, and friends  but she reports receiving a lot of support in W-S.  If Noah is to receive a dual-lumen broviac, she would rather stay until he is recovered from that procedure.  Jeff and the other Estes children will be returning home from camp later this week.

Kate was able to sleep last night, but reports that she is just really beginning to process all that has happened this week.

I am new to blogging and didn't realize that people would respond and ask for more information.  I will do better at monitoring the questions in Kate's absence.   Of course, answers must be approved by her.   The comments are sent direct to her via email and not to me.

Kate does thank you for all your prayers.
